I believe the quality of targeted followers beats quantity of followers who won't even care what you tweet about so keep that in mind. Great article and great tips. A good read, thanks for sharing.

Great article loaded with usable information! I would add one follower type in addition to FreeFollower and ReFollower, namely CheatFollower, or people and companies that are following you only exploit you and trick you to buy something without true sharing and interaction. We all know that marketers and advertisers are intensely looking for creative ways to exploit Twitter and other Social Media to their purposes.

I wonder what is the portion of cheat followers on average twitter account?

But I still believe that honest marketing can be done in Twitter. It is more difficult because as a Tweeter you need to be real and not fake to gain real response.

Thanks for such attention to detail. We have found that there are no shortcuts in Social Media. You should never sacrifice your dignity and self respect to get users. Keep up the good work..

Great article, and one I will be tweeting about. I am into twitter to CONNECT with other ideas and other people, and this obsession with followers drives me bananas. Well done on your article!

Being a blogger (like yourself - crazycolombian.com) I much prefer to provide value and let the followership come, whether they are 12 people or 12,000.

Keep up the good work!
